“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
From April 1–8, you can enjoy the William Shakespeare comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Shows take place at 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $32 for adults, $17 for college students, and $15 for children.
“The Grapes of Wrath”
If historical fiction is more your scene, you can enjoy “The Grapes of Wrath” from April 10–29. Curtain call is at 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Written by Frank Galati, this play is the adaption of the novel written by John Steinbeck. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $17 for college students, and $15 for children.
Not GenERIC, EsotERIC, Starring Eric Watters
For one day only on Monday, April 16, at 8 p.m., you can enjoy the performance of Eric Watters. Coined as the favorite song-and-dance man in all of Venice, Florida, you can watch him sing songs with friends. Tickets to Eric Watters’ performance cost $30. As this performance is for one night only, you should buy tickets as soon as possible before they sell out.
“Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical!”
From April 26–May 20, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy this musical comedy at the Venice Theatre. Like most performances, the curtain call is at 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $32 for adults, $17 for college students, and $15 for children. Parents should exercise caution before deciding to bring a child to this comedy. It contains adult content that’s not intended for younger audiences.
